In many Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Centers, there are often a limited number of physicians on staff to choose from for your family member's care. Most patients are assigned by default to the physician on staff who serves as that facility's Medical Director. While the care oversight of the Medical Director is often satisfactory, there are some patients who require a more personalized, comprehensive approach by a physician who isn't already burdened by the growing administrative requirements of the Medical Director position.
